It’s a quandary many of us have faced. Student need to learn to work cooperatively. Employers are demanding graduates that can work together to get the job done. The obvious solution is for us to integrate cooperative learning and group work into our courses.

Sound like a great idea, until the students find out. Cue the wailing and gnashing of teeth. What’s an instructor to do?

To add to these problems, let’s throw in not only group work, but technology issues and time zone differences. A recipe for failure?
